Welcome to Old Quindaro!
You can make a difference in the future of Old Quindaro – TODAY! Concerned Citizens for Old Quindaro (a 501-C3 non-profit organization) wants to establish a museum right in the heart of Old Quindaro.
We can’t do this without YOU! When you send your tax-deductible contribution The Old Quindaro Museum & Information Center will become a reality. Our fund raising efforts are in full swing right now. We must move swiftly to take advantage of this unique opportunity.
Twenty-five years ago the historic Quindaro community was threatened with a landfill. Everyone who cared about the preservation of our history came together and as a result the City of Kansas City, Kansas and the United States Government designated Old Quindaro a historical district.
Today, the historic Old Quindaro area is threatened with near extinction. Preservation of our cultural, educational, and political history is at risk! That’s why Concerned Citizens for Old Quindaro has made a commitment to keep our heritage alive.
Our goal is to purchase the historic John A. Walker residence at 3432 North 29th Street as location for the museum. This structure is one of the oldest homes in Old Quindaro.
John A. Walker was the original caretaker for Western University for over 60 years.
Let’s all become “caretakers” of our historical legacy. ANY amount you donate will make a difference. When you contribute to this worthy cause you will receive a certificate to signify your commitment to leave a lasting legacy for yourself and future generations.

We’re counting on you to become a “Quindaro Caretaker”.
Sincerely,
Jesse Hope III, Chairman
