Museum Property Fundraiser

We would first like to say Thank You! to everyone who has helped us to begin to get the Old Quindaro Museum & Information Center off to a good start.  We would like to recognize those who have contributed their time, money and resources to this labor of love.  A list of those individuals will be shown below once we’re able to get it compiled.  It will by no means be all inclusive and we apologize for leaving anyone out, but know that we truly appreciate all of your efforts in bringing this dream into reality.

That being said, we still need your help.  As you can see, we’ve been able to raise about $12,000 toward the purchase of the property the museum is housed on.  While we greatly appreciate these generous donations to the cause, we need your help more than ever to reach our goal of $36,000 which would completely pay off the property and cover the expenses of doing so.  No amount is too great and no amount is too small.  Any donation you would be able to give will help us in preserving and, in some cases, reviving the history and legacy left to all of us by our African-American forefathers.  This is the mission we have undertaken with the Old Quindaro Museum & Information Center, the only African-American Museum located in Wyandotte County, Kansas.

To those who have contributed in the past and those who will contribute in the future, we can’t express enough our gratitude for your kindness and generosity.

Sincerely,

Jesse Hope III, Chairman
