National NPR Interview at the John Brown Statue
Old Quindaro Museum & Information Center Director, Jesse Hope, III, was interviewed by KCUR’s (the local Kansas City affiliate) Elana Gordon and will be featured on an upcoming episode of “Honey, Stop The Car: Monuments That Move You“, a nationally syndicated radio show airing on NPR Radio.
The interview deals with the history and significance of John Brown to the African-American community of Quindaro, KS, and the statue commemorating him, which was unveiled during the 1911 Commencement of Western University.
